Letter from Woodland Superintendent to Parents about E-Learning Days.

January 27, 2019

Good Evening,

This is Ryan McGuckin, Superintendent of Woodland.  This past Friday teachers worked on material for E-Learning Days in case of inclement weather this week.  A letter was emailed out to each student and family in the district as well as posted on our school’s website and Facebook page.  I ask that this evening you please open that letter and read it over in anticipation of the inclement weather, negative temperatures, rough road conditions, and expected snow this coming week.  At this time I am not inclined to cancel or delay school – but wanted to let each of you know of our intentions if a snow day is needed to utilize E-Learning material.  If a snow day is in fact called – you will receive an email from the school with a link to click on to find the material for your student to complete that day.  It is broken down by grade and we as a staff feel it is very user friendly using Google.  This same link will also be located on our school’s website as well as Facebook and twitter page – so going to your email is just another form of communication one can use to find the material.  Through the course of the day staff will be checking their email on a continuous basis to answer any questions you may have regarding the material.  We as a staff are excited about implementing this new program.  As always if you have question please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I wish you a very safe and warm week as we prepare for this brutal January weather,

Have a good evening
