Information Regarding In-Person Instruction on January 11th
Posted on 01/07/2021

The calendar has turned over and we are excited to see the students transition back to in-person instruction starting on Monday, January 11th. Here are a few things of importance as we have students return to the building.

Schedules
In-Person Learning will occur on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday from 7:45 AM until 2:00 PM. Wednesdays will continue to be a planned Remote Learning Day. Teachers will communicate the expectations and schedule for Wednesdays directly to you. If you have chosen to remain a remote student, please make contact with your teacher(s) for expectations of classroom attendance and participation. Students in PreK-6 are available to attend Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday. Students in grades 7-12 will continue to attend on an A/B schedule. "A" days are Monday/Thursday and "B" days are Tuesday/Friday. If you are unsure of the day assigned to your student, please contact the school.

Friday, January 15th
The Teacher’s Institute for Friday, January 15th has been canceled and this day will be a FULL DAY of In-Person Instruction Day.

Monday, January 18th
Martin Luther King Holiday - No School

Dress
There still could be times the weather cooperates in which the students will be going outside. For this to be an option, students must dress appropriately. Please remember to send with your child an appropriate coat, hat, and gloves. If you need help obtaining these items, please contact the school so we can assist your child in staying warm.

Illness Awareness
To help remain in-person it is important that we remain diligent in communicating illness updates and details to school support staff and our nurse. If there are other illnesses or you or your family is under quarantine, please let us know that information as soon as possible to ensure our building remains safe and we can continue to provide in-person instruction.

COVID TESTING ON SITE
Please be reminded that we have COVID testing on-site here at Woodland.  We intend to utilize this testing on a daily basis for not only our students but also our staff and families that show symptoms. (As always we will seek parent consent before any COVID testing on a student).  If your student is ill in the AM - please do NOT send them to school - just simply call the office to report them as ill and our nurse can set up COVID testing as needed to assure the safety of our students, staff, and your family.  As always utilize the COVID request form for a test for anyone in your family to assure transparency and safety as we work through these difficult times.

I thank you for all the support and considerations made while we have navigated an unprecedented school year. We are excited to see students in the building on January 11th while remaining safe. #WarriorUp
