Fine Arts Fest

Welcome to the 15th Annual (and 1st Virtual!)

Woodland International Fine Arts Festival!

“Making a Splash!  Island Nations of the World”

Because COVID 19 was so inconsiderate in its timing, we were unable to do the Festival the way that we have every year for the past 15 years.  Fortunately we are lucky enough to make our Festival Exhibit a virtual show!

This year’s Festival was supposed to be a huge one because of so many milestones this year.  1st of all, it was our big number 15!  Secondly, it marked the beginning of a new decade.  Lastly, and certainly not leastly, it is the year that Mrs. Lori Miller is retiring.  Mrs. Miller has been right beside me every step of the way in keeping the Festival alive and growing into the week-long celebration of the Arts that it is today.  She has been an integral Woodland Fine Arts Committee member the entire lifetime of the Festival and I look forward to her continuing to contribute to our Festival (hopefully!!!).

Mrs. Miller is also the one who came up with the theme for this year’s Festival.  Because of all of the milestones this year, she thought it would be great to “Make a Splash!”  Thus was born the 15th Annual Woodland International Fine Arts Festival:  “Making a Splash!  Island Nations of the World.”

I want to take this opportunity to give my sincere thanks to all of the Wonderful Woodland Family who make the Festival possible every year.  I know that I say it all of the time, but I want to make sure that everyone, EVERYONE, realizes how much I appreciate their continued support of the Festival and the Arts.

Administration;  Thank you so much for not only allowing the Festival every year, but also for all that you contribute to the Festival.

Custodians;  We absolutely could not do what we do every year without you guys.  Thank you.

Teachers;  I cannot even begin to put into words how much it means to me that you are all so supportive and flexible every year.  Thank you.

All ESP;  Whether it’s reading announcements, making sure that people are getting paid, helping supervise kids, or all of the other things that you do, I thank you.

Lori and Myron Crone and Family;  For selflessly volunteering your time to make the Festival Dinner a success year after year, I thank you.

The Woodland Fine Arts Committee;  Lori Miller, Jami Schultz, Marti Highsmith, Mary Kay Sass, Haley Lentman, Samantha Jackson and Alec Levy, thank you all for everything.

Woodland Students;  Thank you for participating all of these years.

Woodland Parents and Caregivers;  Thank you for allowing and encouraging your students to participate in the Festival each year.

Lastly, The Woodland Education Foundation;  Thank you not only for sponsoring our Festival every year but also for helping keep the Arts alive and in the hearts of all of our students.
